Residents of Kanchanjunga Apartments in Sector 53 have lodged a complaint against a Noida Authority contractor. They say he has not completed development work on pavements and stormwater drains inside the society.

The Authority was constructing pavements and covering open stormwater drains simultaneously. But the contractor carrying out the work has stopped it midway and is not responding to calls from RWA members.

In her written complaint to Saumya Srivastava, Deputy CEO of Noida Authority, B Guha, president of the society's RWA, said the contractor should not be paid, as the incomplete work has inconvenienced residents.

"The contractor had stacked paver blocks and drain covers by the road in several places," said Guha. "That is taking up a lot of road space and has made using the road a headache for months now."

On receiving the complaint, Srivastava strictly instructed the concerned project engineer to look into the matter and to blacklist the contractor if he did not comply.
