The Sohna Road RWAs Forum on April 28 called off the protest for the relocation of an under-construction CNG pump in Sector 49. The protest was called off on the second day after the construction of the CNG pump was stopped.

Rao Narbir, PWD Minister of Haryana; Yashpal Yadav, HUDA administrator; and Bharat Bhushan, sub-divisional magistrate (SDM), visited the protest site on April 28 and assured the RWAs that an order had been issued to stop the construction of the CNG station.

Major General (Retd) SK Yadav, president of the Sispal Vihar RWA, said, “We have been assured that the deputy commissioner [DC] of Gurgaon has formed a committee headed by the SDM to look for alternative locations and carry out a survey for the CNG pump relocation.”

Members of the 10 protesting condominiums were happy that their concerns had been heard and that a step was being taken to address the issue.

"The motive behind the protest was not to create problems for anyone," said Ved Yadav, spokesperson and a resident of South City II. "We just wanted our concerns to be heard. Now that we have been promised a solution, we are thankful to the minister and the district administration for their support."
