Dwarka’s Sector 9 park to get a facelift soon!

Park No 3 in Sector 9, Dwarka, is all set for renovation. It will soon get toilets, improved jogging tracks and a bamboo shed for yoga classes. The declaration was made at a meeting between FORWAS (Federation of RWAs) and DP Singh, chief engineer, DDA, at the park.

MK Singh, general secretary of FORWAS, said, “Construction of toilets at the park for male and female visitors has been approved. Improvement of the park's jogging tracks will also be done on a priority basis. Singh also approved the construction of a bamboo shed for yoga classes.”

Singh agreed to allot the space adjacent to New Era Business School in Sector 9 to the construction of a recreation centre for senior citizens. Parveen Rana, area councillor, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), who was also present at the meeting, assured residents he would get the necessary funds sanctioned by the SDMC.

FORWAS extended its gratitude to Singh for agreeing to develop an open-air gym in Park No 3.

The meeting was also attended by AK Chopra, superintending engineer, DDA,  Prem Chand, deputy director, Horticulture, and other officials of the DDA. A large number of residents of Sector 9 were also present.
