The clubhouse at Rishabh Platinum, a residential society in Indirapuram, was recently full of youthful energy when about 150 children from Ahinsa Khand II showed up for a drawing competition.

Their involvement and excitement was palpable as they began putting on paper figments of their imagination coupled with messages that are the need of the hour. And what’s more? It was all for a good cause — a green and safe neighbourhood.

The event was a success for sure for Green Team, a group of residents of Ahinsa Khand II that works towards a green and safe neighbourhood, which had organised the competition. The participants were from almost all societies in the area.

From tiny tots to high school students, the organisers made sure all had a fair chance at the competition. The children participated under three categories: Nursery, Class 2 to 7, and Class 7 onwards. Green Team was not alone in this endeavour as Small Wonderz Playschool and Daycare, a playschool in Indirapuram, also lent a helping hand to them.

City Spidey brings you a few pictures from the event, including those of some of the winning entries.

IN HIS COMFORT ZONE: Children were quite at home during the competition

FOCUS IS THE KEY: With the aim to not only convey a message but also to win, these tiny tots gave their best.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE: An unsuspecting participant looks at our cameraman when his photo was being taken.

KEEP CLEAN, GO GREEN: Need of the hour indeed!

NO TO POLYTHENE: With these children aware of eco-friendly measures, one can hope that the future of Earth is in safe hands.

COOPERATE, DON'T CRITICISE: One of the best takeaways from the painting competition!
