After completing the procedure for submission of voter-enrolling forms today, the Ghaziabad administration will initiate measures to start making corrections or re-verifications in the forms.

Speaking to City Spidey, Atul Kumar, additional district magistrate (ADM) Ghaziabad, said the procedure for making corrections or re-verifications will begin tomorrow, and will continue until May 25.

“After the block level officers, or BLOs, complete taking applications today, the work on corrections will be initiated from tomorrow. If anybody has issues regarding the enrolment of names, they can come forward with their problems,” assured Kumar.

The process, according to him, will last till the final list of voters is published on May 25. However, he maintained that in case of a genuine problem, changes can be accommodated even after the May 25 deadline.

“We are all excited. Let’s see how many new residents actually get their names enlisted on the voters list,” said Rahul Verma, a resident of Gyan Khand in Indirapuram.
