Commuters travelling to NH 24 from Sector 61, Noida, along the road running between sectors 60 and 66, will soon be taking a new route. Currently, owing to construction work of an underpass in Sector 60, the road witnesses heavy traffic congestion.
The traffic department has proposed the Authority to construct a U-turn on the elevated road between sectors 60 and 61 to re-route traffic through this stretch instead. The Authority has complied with the suggestion and directed ITDC, the construction company developing the elevated road, to provide a U-turn near Shopprix Mall.
"The U-turn will be ready in a week's time," said PK Garg, project engineer of Noida Authority. "Once that is ready, vehicles can start taking the new route and traffic congestion near the underpass will ease."
