Car-and-motor-cycle thefts in Noida have witnessed a sharp rise in recent times.
In the last five months alone, 800 vehicles were reported stolen, and cases have had been registered in various police stations of Noida.
So far, the police have managed to recover only 100 vehicles and arrest 30 vehicle lifters.
According to the police, most of the vehicles thefts have been reported from residential sectors and residential societies.
Arun Kumar Singh, SP Noida, told City Spidey that the police have increased its patrolling in residential sectors, and private security guards have been posted in various locations.
