Even after the district administration forwarded a complaint by a commuter for covering an open manhole beside the busy Maharaja Agrasen Marg (MP II Road), Noida Authority failed to act.
It’s been two days since the officials were sent the complaint.
The complainant, Amit Gupta, had written about an open manhole near Shopprix Mall in Sector 61. He wrote that road accidents were just waiting to happen, particularly in the monsoons when waterlogging would hide the gaping hole.
He added, “I have brought the issue to the notice of Noida Authority officers, but action is still awaited. The manhole should be covered immediately to avoid mishaps.”
Acknowledging the complaint, Saumya Srivastava, deputy CEO of Noida Authority, said, “I will pass strict instructions to concerned officers to immediately put a cover on the manhole.”
