Plantation deputy director of horticulture, DDA, YD Sharma, and other officials were also present on the occasion.

This time, SDKS prepared the saplings on its own. SDKS vice-president SS Mann, also a resident of Sadbhavna Apartments, said, “We wanted to plant Neem saplings this time. We asked the DDA for the same, but they didn't have neem saplings. So we had our own. We planted 50 saplings — almost all neem and just a few were Estonia."

SDKS has planted hundreds of saplings this monsoon.

SDKS  secretary and a resident of New Kanchenjunga Apartments in Sector 23, DC Mathur, told City Spidey that more planting drives would be carried out in the coming days to make the most of the rains.
