Members of Dwarka-based ANHLGT (Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-Together) carried out a sapling-planting drive in the corporation park of Sector 5 behind Kesarwani Apartments.

More than 40 saplings of different varieties were planted by the women of the area in the presence of ANHLGT president Cicily Kudian.

Talking to City Spidey, she said, "We are on a green mission these days — planting saplings in different sectors. We finished our drive in sectors 19 and 5, and will take up sectors 11, 12 and 7. On July 21, we will plant saplings in Sector 11, behind Gokul Apartments; on August 11 in Sector 7, behind Dwarka Apartments and Shiv Bholey Apartments. ANHLGT wants to plant as many trees as possible to make the most of the rainy season. We want Dwarka to be clean, green and beautiful."

Residents from Kesarwani Apartments and Eden Tower Apartments were present at the drive today. People from other sectors such as 6 and 19 were there too.

Coordinator of ANHLGT from Kesarwani Apartments, Ragini Mahajan, said, "This is a great initiative by ANHLGT. We want Sector 5 parks to be full of plants and trees. There’s no arrangement for water, but we’re somehow managing with whatever we can get from our society.”
