To rid the city of garbage, Noida Authority lunched a monsoon special cleaning campaign yesterday.
The campaign kickstarted in sectors 16, 17, 18, 19 and Haraula. According to authority officials, the ‘special’ drive will ensure — apart from routine cleaning — that the garbage is disposed of promptly during the monsoon months.
RS Yadav, project engineer of Noida Authority, said, “All the chocked drains were cleaned out. Today, the campaign will continue in sectors 14, 15, 15A, 16A, Naya Bans and Atta villages.”
The campaign will resume on Monday, and continue till August 12.
