The CEO of the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has been tasked with the responsibility of nominating presidents from various RWAs to form a residents’ advisory council for representation in the Authority.

“This is an important initiative, as we’ll get a chance to be part of important decisions towards the betterment of our city,” said Nilesh Tandon, RWA president, Fresco, Sector 50.

The initiative has gathered positive feedback from the RWAs across the city.

“The presence of RWA representatives in the Authority will better highlight all the residents' issues — it will also lead to better solutions,” said DS Yadav, RWA president, Sector 17B.

The RWAs can be in HUDA sectors, or societies under MCG or even under the builder — but they must be registered under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies Act, 2012.
