Gurgaon police has initiated an anti-encroachment drive on Golf Course Extension Road, particularly against the nurseries that have captured the green belt.

However, some had stay orders and could not be removed.

The Golf Course Extension Road leads to the upcoming residential sectors of the city, and encroachment has become a big issue on the stretch.

"This step was really needed. Once the authorities remove all encroachment, the green belt will certainly provide a pleasant approach to our sectors,” opined Ajay Sharma, resident of Ivory Tulip in Sector 69

Talking to the City Spidey, SHO Ravinder Kumar from Badshahpur police station, said, "We are removing the nurseries which do not have a stay order.  After repeated letters to higher authorities, we finally have the orders to remove these encroachments."
