Years-long wait for a service lane is finally over for the residents of Sector 55, Noida. Noida Authority has completed the construction of the 800-metre-long service lane at an estimated cost of Rs 65 lakh that will provide quick access to the main road between Sector 55 and Sector 57.

Moreover, the lane has also given relief from the stench that was coming from the place as garbage had collected there. According to SK Jindal, joint secretary of RWA, Sector 55, “The lane helped us get rid of the filth lying outside the sector. Thieves and burglars used to scale the boundary walls and enter the sector from that side. But now, with the movement of traffic and pedestrians, it won’t be easy for them to enter the sector. Cases of theft will come down.”

He added that the RWA is repairing the gates in front of the lane, which were closed until now, and will open them for residents soon.
