The Gautam Budh Nagar administration on Monday decided to hold a meeting with its various heads of department to discuss issues plaguing residents of Noida and Greater Noida. They will together brainstorm to come up with solutions to major problems in the twin cities.

BN Singh, GB Nagar magistrate, said they would hold such meetings every Wednesday at his Surajpur office. These meetings will only involve officials of the Gautam Budh Nagar administration and not residents.

Singh said, “Issues that are major concerns for all residents - such as law and order, traffic and sanitation - will be given priority.”

He added that if it were a case of traffic snarls caused due to illegal parking on the sides of roads, the administration would initiate strict action. He also said he would come down heavily on antisocial elements. They will be booked under Section 133 of the CRPC if found creating nuisance in public places, he added.

He said the administration would prepare a list of those causing issues of public inconvenience, which would then be handed over to him for instant action.
