Just when Ryan International School’s murder case has created a stir in the city, another disturbing incident has occurred at Suraj School, Sector 75, Gurgaon.  A student of class X was mercilessly beaten up by a PT teacher and later rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was admitted to the ICU.

On Friday afternoon around 1 pm, this student Rahul Sharma who is a resident of Badshahpur, lost consciousness after being beaten by the PT teacher, Pradeep. Thereafter the school authorities waited for the boy to gain consciousness and admitted him to a nearby hospital by around 3 pm only.

Speaking to City Spidey, Satish Sharma the father of the victim said, “My son was injured at 1 pm and they took him to the hospital at 3 pm. Moreover, they informed me at 4 pm. When I reached the hospital he was still lying unconscious in the ICU and an MRI was being conducted. I was called only when the hospital authorities refused to discharge him in our absence.”

The parents also confirmed that the school authorities had not visited the boy after he was admitted.

Commenting on the issue, Inspector Vishnu Prasad, SHO Badshahpur said, “We have already registered an FIR against the school under IPC sections 323 and 506.  We shall visit the school on Monday and start investigations.”
