In a late-night hit and run accident, an unidentified car hit a two-wheeler, killing the rider, 21-year-old Dinesh Kumar, and injuring the pillion rider on Saturday night. The accident occurred around 2 am, the pillion rider, Santrai told police officials investigating the case, on Sunday.
The accident took place near Epicenter in Gurgaon. After hitting the motorcycle, the vehicle sped away without bothering to stop. Dinesh, who died on the spot, has three brothers and sisters. His mother works as a maid servant in Gurgaon.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
"We are checking CCTV footage to identify the vehicle that hit the bike,” the ASI of Sushant Lok police station told City Spidey. No arrests have been made so far.
The police carried out a post mortem of Dinesh Kumar and his body was handed over to his family members.
