National Restaurant Association of India gets a new president

Rahul Singh, founder and chief executive officer, The Beer Café, took over as the new president of National Restaurant Association of India on Monday. Singh succeeded Riyaaz Amlani, CEO & MD, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Private Limited who has resigned from his duties on health grounds. The appointment was unanimous.

Rahul Singh has a slew of accolades in the food and beverage industry. He is the recipient of the TiEcon 2014 Entrepreneurial Award for Excellence and Entrepreneur India 2015 Award in F&B service, among other honours.

Expressing gratitude to the managing committee, Singh said, “I will strive to lead the Indian restaurant industry into a new era of prosperity, which advances and safeguards the entrepreneurial spirit. Our collective passion and shared spirit of hospitality will enhance the quality of life that we serve.”

Amani had completed a three year term as the president of National Restaurant Association of India this September. He will continue to serve in the managing committee.
