Bulbul and Shreya Bhati from Ganpati Apartments, Sector 9, Dwarka, have been awarded gold medals by the National Rashtra Bhasha Samiti.
They were felicitated in a recent function at their school, Loreto Convent School, Delhi Cantonment. The sisters won the medals for English creative writing.
The girls are jubilant. Bulbul Bhati, a Class 10 student, said, "I've wanted to be an astronaut with NASA since I was a child."
Shreya Bhati, the younger sister, studying in Class 7, said that though she is yet to set a goal, she wants to carry on the family legacy and become a lawyer. "Both my parents and grandfather are lawyers, so I would like to follow in their footsteps."
President of Ganpati Apartments and president of Federation of RWAs of Sector 9 (FORWA), Advocate KS Bhati, is a proud grandfather. He congratulated them on their success and blessed them for a bright future ahead.
