In a major development in the judicial trial of the Ryan International murder case, the Juvenile Justice Board, Gurgaon, has rejected the bail plea for the juvenile accused, submitted by his legal counsel.

The social investigation and psychological report of the juvenile has also been shared with the court. Both the prosecutor and the defence lawyer were shown the report on condition of confidentiality and were allowed to argue on the necessary points that will determine whether the juvenile should be treated as an adult.

On Friday, the legal counsels of the victim and the juvenile accused had argued for more than three hours before the Juvenile Justice Board on various points.

After hearing all arguments, the board has decided to pass its orders on December 20.

Speaking to City Spidey, Sushil K Tekriwal, the legal counsel of Pradyuman Thakur, the victim, said, "The contents of the report that indicate that the juvenile be tried as an adult have been argued in front of the board. We are hopeful that justice will prevail and the case will get transferred from the Juvenile Justice Board to the Child Sessions Court for further trial."
