Bollywood retro music takes audience back in time!

Mac Foundation brought together a live band and 12 amateur singers at a function on Saturday night to celebrate Christmas eve and the birth anniversary of evergreen singer Mohammed Rafi.

The function was organised in association with the (Municipal Corporation Gurgaon) at the Open Theatre, Rangabhoomi in Gurgaon Sector 29.

The 12 singers took the audience through a nostalgic journey through their renditions of ever green Hindi film hit songs by Kishore Kumar, Mohammed Rafi, Mukesh, Hemant Kumar, Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar and Kumar Sanu.  The live band Sa Re Ga Ma, was led by Vinay Jha.

The chief guests for the evening were  Sunita Yadav, deputy mayor MCG, R S Rathee, MCG councillor of ward no 34 and Meenu Sharma, V.P. BJP Gurugram. The lighting of the lamp was done by R S Rathhee while Sunita Yadav addressed the audience. 

Harish Ahuja, Founder of MAC Foundation told City Spidey, “This is an initiative to promote singers and provide them with a platform to show their skills. Music is a form of meditation and in this fast-paced life we all badly need it.”
