A first-of- its-kind digital post office was inaugurated today in Gurgaon Sector 82. This initiative of Haryana Government and Enviro, a facility management company, will commence operations with six employees.

Inaugurated by the chief postmaster, Col Sukhdev Raj, this digitally powered post office will ensure faster deliveries and more efficient services. It will also provide banking and mobile services. The Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, which encourages bank accounts for girls and Western Union Money Transfer facility are the highlights. The digital board at this post office will have the latest information on government schemes and banking services.

“This post office commands a large floor area. It also has a ramp for the convenience of senior citizens,” said Col Sukhdev Raj.

“Since most of our basic banking and Aadhaar card needs will be addressed in this digital post office, we feel that it will benefit us greatly” said a senior citizen.
