Protest against "arbitrary" fee hike in Noida schools gained momentum when Noida school parents association members met Gautam Budh Nagar city magistrate Bachhu Singh on Monday and gave him a memorandum saying that schools have increased fees without discussing with parents.

The representatives of the parents association said they were also angry over some schools increasing their bus fees quarterly. They added, the quality of service is however deteriorating.

Harinder Bhati, member of the parents association, told City Spidey, “We want the government to intervene in this matter. If it is not sorted out at this level, we will knock the doors of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and demand to take action against the tyranny of private schools.”

Bacchu Singh said, “We have formed a team of four people to investigate the matter and after the investigation we will take appropriate action."
