The new parking policy of the Delhi Government that proposes a parking fee in residential colonies will dent the pockets of the common man. Is it not the duty of the government to think about the common man while framing policies? There are many factors, which the government and the agencies involved in framing the new parking policy must take into consideration. But are they doing it?

City Spidey caught up with B S Vohra, president of East Delhi RWA Joint Front, to understand his views on the implications of the proposed policy.

Vohra clearly opposed the government’s idea of imposing parking charges on residential colonies on the grounds that it would translate to a financial burden for the common man. According to him the new parking policy is nothing but a revenue generation scheme of the government.
