On Saturday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned three officers of Gurgaon police in connection with the murder of an eight- year-old boy in Ryan International School, Sohna Road on September 8, 2017. The three officers were part of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that was constituted to investigate the case.
The boy, who studied in class 2, was found with his throat slit on the school premises.
The three officers are sub inspector Shamsher Singh, EASI Subash and scientifc assistant Jyoti Singh.
It has been learned through sources that the CBI has questioned these officers to understand various aspects of the investigation based on which certain conclusions have been drawn. While the Gurgaon police initially arrested Ashok Kumar, the conductor of the school bus, in connection with the murder, the CBI apprehended a 16-year-old boy after taking over the case. The bus conductor was later acquitted by a court.
A CBI officer informed City Spidey that these police officers had also been summoned in the past to share information and discuss various aspects of the probe. He said issuing summons to the three officers was part of the larger probe into the case.
Ashok Bakshi, DCP, south confirmed that summons were issued to the trio and they had left for the CBI office in Delhi on Saturday morning. “They received the summons while they were at the police station," Bakshi informed. However, sources in the central probe agency confirmed the development to City Spidey only in the late hours of Saturday evening.
