How not to love thy neighbour

Planning to visit Prateek Laurel in Sector 120, Noida, anytime soon? Prepare to be greeted with a flood of stinking sewer water.

Residents say that the neighbouring society, RG Residency, is still undergoing construction. Its sewer lines are choked with construction waste, as a result of which sewage and other waste material is being pumped out on the road outside. This is not only a health hazard for residents but also pedestrians.

Sandeep Singh, president of Prateek Laurel’s AOA, said, “The main road is stinking and dumped with waste material. It’s because the sewer is blocked by construction waste being pumped up.”

MD Pandey, project engineer, Noida Authority, assured City Spidey that cleaning machines would be deployed to free the blockage. “The problem will be solved in a couple of days, as municipal department has also noticed these issues.”
