One year back, DMRC, Reliance Jio and BSES had dug up the service lane from plot number one onwards in Sector-7 of Dwarka. The condition of service lane is in pathetic state since then. The story remains the same in all the Sectors of Dwarka where excavations are frequently done and are left in dismantled state.

I am unable to understand why such callous approach is there from both the agencies that dug up the service lane and the one who has the responsibility of maintaining service lane like DDA. I have never seen any service lane dug up and restored as soon as the work is over.

On the other hand, the service lanes are also in a damaged state because it has not been repaired in long time. The lane in Sector-3 in front of Delhi Public School is one of the classic examples of casual approach of DDA.

Also, the pavements across Dwarka are in bad shape. They are even worse than service lanes. Despite several complaints, nothing has been done by civic authorities. The agencies, which carried out work, claimed to have deposited restoration money with land-owning agency.

Now, the big question in front of us is that who will repair the service lane and pavements damaged by DMRC, Reliance Jio, BSES and other such agencies which carried out excavation for their work pay restoration amount to land-owning agency.

I appeal to the authorities to repair the damaged roads as soon as possible.
