Chisoba, a Nigerian national residing in Eldeco Green Meadows in Sector Pi 2, Greater Noida, has got the RWA worried.
The tenant has neither paid his maintenance charges nor cleared his electricity bills for the past six months. He is yet to submit his police verification proof to his landlord and neighbours have often complained of loud music at night.
The RWA, with the support of the police, had disconnected his flat's power and stopped delivering routine maintenance services to his apartment. That, however, hardly acted as a deterrant, as Chisoba reconnected the power lines on his own and began stealing electricity from the society's power source.
Can you blame the residents for being wary of him?
The RWA has not been able to get in touch with the owner, who stays abroad.
"We had complained to the officer in charge of the Echhar police station," said Kuber Baishisth, an RWA member. "Residents have also informed SP Abhishek Yadav about the issue."
