The accused of the hit and run incident was arrested by police near Ganpati Chowk in Dwarka on Tuesday. The police were able to arrest him two days after the incident.
“The name of the accused is Nakul. He is 28 years old and a resident of Raj Nagar, Palam Colony,” police said.
Police have also found the Merecedes car which was involved in hit and run incident.
As per the police, the accused will be produced in Dwarka court on Wednesday.
On Sunday, two fruit vendors — Sarvesh (35) and Inder (30) — were hit from behind by car near Ganpati Chowk, opposite Manzil Apartments in Sector 9, Dwarka.
While Sarvesh was brought dead to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, the other victim was admitted to Aushman Hospital in Sector 12. Later, his condition improved.
During investigation, police had recovered a Mercedes logo from the site. They took lead from the logo and started investigation.
