Two residents of Prateek Laureel, a high rise society in Sector 120, Noida, were robbed by two bike-borne miscreants on Thursday.

The first incident occurred around 12 pm.

The first victim, a 40-year-old female resident of Prateek Laurel, recounted: “I was going to a shop outside our society. Some 20m away from the society gate, two men on bikes — with their faces covered — snatched my gold chain at gunpoint.”

The second incident happened at around 2.30 pm. A 33-year-old was robbed of her mangalsutra by two bike-borne miscreants, who too had their faces covered.

The second victim recounted, “It happened in front of The Millennium School in Sector 119 —I had gone there to pick up my son from school. Suddenly, they snatched my mangalsutra. It’s worth Rs 60,000!”

Akhilesh Tripathi, SHO of Phase 3 police station, said, “We are aware of both the incidents, but we haven’t received any formal complaint. But we have started the initial investigation from our side — it appears both the incidents have been carried out by the same duo.”
