To celebrate Women’s Day, globally observed on March 8 every year, Delhi Rail metro Corporation (DMRC) had organised a slogan writing competition as well as a photo contest exclusively for its women commuters from 26th February till 4th March, 2019. Selected entries awarded in a function tomorrow at Delhi Metro’s Corporate Office at Metro Bhawan.
The theme for slogan writing was ‘Think Equal, Build Smart and Innovate for Change – Delhi Metro’, while the theme for the photo contest was ‘Gender Balance and Delhi Metro’.
A DMRC spokesperson said, “The contest was a small attempt to encourage women commuters using Delhi metro across the Delhi-NCR area to participate an interactive process through photos and slogans.”
Besides the winners, the DMRC has invited all women commuters to come and share their experiences while travelling in Delhi metro, and also provide suggestions on how to improve the services.
