To spread the message on the importance of voting and making people understand the entire polling process, school children in Dwarka organized a street play on Wednesday at Sector 11 DDA Park. The event was organized by the southwest district office of Election Commission.
The street play had the theme of – hundred percent voting. Two more such programmes were organised at Sectors 8 and 2.
The officials present at the venue demonstrated the entire process of using the voting machine. Apart from that, the officials also described the newly introduced concept of VVPAT – an independent verification system for voting machines designed to allow voters to verify that their vote was cast correctly.
