Civic authorities have always been under the scanner for not taking appropriate steps and preventive measures to resolve key issues across the sub-city. The burning of garbage, including dry and horticulture waste, is one of them which City Spidey has always highlighted through resident speak, news reports, and other mediums.
Here is a video, showing scenes of a back lane, adjacent to the Radhika Apartments (Sector 14). Huge heaps of waste, including dry leaves, can be seen being burnt, that too, without any fear of law!
On questioning the officials of the authority concerned regarding the issue, they passed the buck to rag pickers and sweepers, who carry out such activities frequently and unabatedly.
The situation is grave and everyone knows it but who will take the onus for this mess? Do share and comment.
