In a rather upsetting incident, a car was stolen from outside the entrance gate of the Antriksh Golf View 1, a high-rise apartment in Noida's Sector 78, in broad daylight on Friday.

Anand Kumar Dubey, the victim and a resident of Ghaziabad, parked his white-coloured Maruti Brezza beside Gate No 2 of the apartment at around 3 pm. He had some work so he went inside the society and when he returned around 5 pm, his car was not there at the spot. Dubey enquired about it to a person standing at the gate but he denied saying he did not see anyone.

Without any delay, Dubey registered an FIR with Sector 49 police station, under whose jurisdiction the area falls.

Besides, he also posted his complaint copy on Twitter, tagging state and city police seeking their help in recovering his car.

Ajay Kumar Agarwal, station house officer (SHO) of Sector 49 told City Spidey, "A case of theft has been registered under Section 379 against unidentified person. We are probing the matter."

This particular incident suggests that people should pay extra caution while parking their cars, especially outside residential areas, as it is considered unsafe.
