A free health check-up camp was organised in the sub-city’s Green Valley Apartments (Sector 22) on Saturday. It was a joint effort by the senior citizen forum of the society, Hello Moms, an association of women and Age Well Association, an NGO operating in Dwarka.

Over hundreds of residents from the Green Valley and other nearby societies attended the camp and availed the medical facilities. Other than general ones, tests like ENT, CBC, PAP, BMR and mammography were carried out for the patients who attended the camp. Besides, there were special check-ups for women.

Sweepers, security guards and maids of other nearby apartments too benefitted from this free service.

Talking to City Spidey, IM Khanna, president of Age Well Association said, “We will be organising more such camps in the coming months as these prove to be beneficial for the people of the area. General and specific health check-up camps were organised in the past too. Though we focus mainly on senior citizens, other age groups are also being considered. It is a indeed a community effort and we feel glad to be part of it.”

President of Hello Moms, Raji Kurup said, “We made sure that special attention was given to the maids and women across the area.”

Indian Cancer Society provided all the medical facilities required for this free health check-up camp.
