Unable to withstand thunderstorms followed by heavy rainfall on Friday night, a large tree got uprooted and fell on Sushila Naiyyar Marg between a temple and Gate no. 4 of Shipra Sun City in Indirapuram. No one was hurt in the incident.
Sanjay Singh, municipal councillor of Shipra Sun City, said public generally park their vehicles at the spot where the tree fell. "Fortunately, no vehicles were parked at that time," he added.
The fallen tree was creating hurdle for motorists to commute via the road.
On Saturday morning, a team of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) removed the tree and cleared the area. Now the road has been cleared to commute without any hurdle.
