The Noida police on Wednesday arrested two men, including a doctor, for stealing cars in a rather unique manner.

According to the police, the accused have been identified as Rahul Sharma and Kapil Verma. Kapil, a degree holder in medical science, is a resident of Gaur City-2 16th Avenue whereas Rahul is a resident of Ghaziabad's Sanjay Nagar (Sector 23).

Describing their modus operandi, police said the duo used to ask their known friends and relatives' cars for a ride. While driving, they used to make a duplicate key of the car and allegedly used to install GPS tracker before returning the car to the owner.

When the owner goes out to park his/her car, the duo, with the help of the tracker used to find the exact location. They then use the duplicate key to start it and steal the car.

Post recovering two cars from them, police informed City Spidey an FIR under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) related to theft has been registered against both the accused. Besides, Bisrakh police station, under whose jurisdiction the duo's areas fall, is verifying Verma's medical degree.
