Residents across Greater Noida West will soon get respite from dust pollution as a group of home buyers, associated with the Noida Extension Flat Owners' Welfare Association (NEFOWA), has taken the onus of maintaining roads, streets, and public places of the area.

In this regard, the Greater Noida Authority has extended its support to them to supervise the sanitation works in order to keep residential pockets of the city clean.

Talking to City Spidey on this subject, president of NEFOWA Abhishek Kumar said, "The Greater Noida Authority has directed its sanitation staff that they will have to work under the group supervision now, ensuring a higher standard of cleanliness."

Besides, the authority has also provided the group a mechanised cleaning vehicles, trollies, and tankers to water the muddy streets and reduce dust on the roadsides.

"Several members of the association have expressed their willingness to contribute towards various social works. Recently, they cleaned a busy intersection in Greater Noida West considering inconvenience being caused to the commuters due to dust winds. Now, the particular intersection (chowk) is spick and span and commuters don't face problems they were facing in the past," Kumar added.

Sensing the responsibility, Abhishek Kumar concluded saying that he along with other members of his association will work with full enthusiasm to make Greater Noida West dust-free over a period of time.
