Open-air gyms in Noida soon!

Open-air gyms, Noida Authority's much-awaited project, is set to be ready for residents from the first week of July.

The Authority will install the gym equipment in June. It will begin the project simultaneously at Triphala Park in E-block, Sector 61, and the park in E- block, Sector 36.

Omveer Singh, director of horticulture, Noida Authority, said, “A total of 17 machines will be installed at an estimated budget of Rs 25 lakh for each open-air gym. The RWA of the sector will be responsible for its maintenance. Instructions on how to use the equipment will be found on the machines in both English and Hindi.”

Dr. Anju Pachauri, general secretary of RWA, Sector 36, told City Spidey, “Our RWA will do its best to maintain the open-air gym. Residents of the sector are already excited with the idea of an open-air gym in their neighbourhood.”

In the first phase, Noida Authority will open such gyms in 27 places. The sectors that will have the gym equipment installed in this phase are sectors 12, 19, 23, 33, 34, 35, 36, 39, 40, 44, 46, 47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 54, 55, 56, 61, 62, 70, 93A, 105, 108, 119, and 122.
