In a city where pollution levels go highest in the world, a riverfront gives an opportunity to the residents to get a little close to nature. Keeping this in view, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will soon develop one on the banks of Hindon River near City Forest in Raj Nagar Extension.

The development of riverfront would happen on a four-kilometer area by the authority.

In this regard, the GDA will soon receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the irrigation department.

Meanwhile, the irrigation department will submit a survey report to the authority on Friday, documenting its analysis and finding of the proposed riverfront project.

The riverfront would cater as a new picnic spot and a place of relaxation for the residents. A walking corridor would be built in the riverfront for the residents for their morning and evening strolls. The corridor will be decorated with grass and shade-providing trees. Concrete would not be used in the corridor.
