There is no doubt that the much-awaited rain has come as a huge relief for the residents of Noida. But, it soon became a dampener for a resident of Sagar Presidency, a high rise apartment in Sector 50.
Mukesh Chauhan had parked his Swift car on the road besides the society. As the rain continued, the soil below the car was washed away leaving the car falling into it.
As he came soon after the rain stopped, the further damage to the car was averted. He immediately hired a crane to lift it safely as it was likely to turn upside down.
Another resident Rajesh Yadav complained that the roadside was dugged up for putting cable of a private telecom company. But it was not filled properly due to which soil washed out in the first rain of the season.
He said that the issue has been taken with Rajeev Tyagi, General Manager with Noida Authority, who assured him action against the defaulter. He said that the area was not filled by contractor properly due to which the soil washed out.
