We often get to hear and read about residents blaming the authority concerned for not carrying out their work properly and that is the case most of the times, but here is an instance which calls for the discretion of the general public.

Amit Parikh, a resident of Amrapali Sapphire, on June 27 posted multiple pictures on Twitter, showing the poor state of the green belt nearby the society which was converted as 'dumping yard' due to heaps of garbage. He tagged the Noida Authority, calling for swift action in this regard.

As demanded, the authority on June 28, promptly initiated action and cleared the area filled with waste. Afterward, it replied the complainant through its official handle saying the issue has been resolved, supporting the claim with latest pictures.

After 11 days, i.e on July 9, the same complainant took to Twitter and tagged Noida Authority again, expressing disappointment over the sad state of affairs. The authority responded within an hour, stating that the matter has been taken into their concern and they will do the needful.

The big question is- how far it is justified for people to hold the authority solely responsible every time when it is supposed to be a collective effort to keep the city neat and clean besides their houses. Think!
