Gurugram: NBCC Green View residents plant saplings to boost greenery

With a message to make the environment green and clean, the residents of NBCC Green View, a residential society in sector 37 D carried out a plantation drive on Saturday.

More than 500 saplings including Imli, Nimbu, Sheesham, Gulmohar, Peepal, Neem, Champa, etc. have been planted during the drive. Women and children enthusiastically participated in the drive and contributed their bit in the plantation drive.

Yadvendra Yadav, a resident of the society said, "The society children not only planted the trees but vow to take care of it. We must plant as many as trees and save our environment."  

Neeraj Gupta, General Secretary, NBCC Green View said, "We have conducted the drive in two phases wherein we planted more than 500 saplings in the society premises as well as in the adjoining areas. We are thankful to state forest minister, Rao Narbir Singh and DFO Subhash Yadav for providing us the plants. It will help in making the city more greener and combat pollution."
