Residents of Saya Zenith, located in Ahinsa Khand II, on Friday are all set to celebrate Krishna Janmashtmi with great zeal and fervour. The festival, 'Janmashtmi' marks the birth anniversary of the Hindu god Krishna. As per the Hindu calendar, the festival is celebrated on Ashtami of Krishna Paksh or the eighth day of the dark fortnight in the month of Bhadon.
The festivity is being organised in all three towers of the residential complex. Children, along with other residents were busy decorating the society and preparing for the special celebrations of the festival.
Usually, Krishna temples are decorated and processions are carried out. During the whole day, devotees sing hymns and in evening hours children dressed as lord Krishna and Radha riding decorated tableau. Devotees hold day-long fasts and break it at 12.00 am, after the birth of Lord Krishna.
