Dwarka: Three more societies adopt ‘Neighbourhood Watch Scheme’

Three more societies of Dwarka adopted ‘Neighbourhood Watch Scheme’ on Sunday to support policing and to make the surroundings safe and secure. 

The scheme was started formally at three societies – Ispatika Apartments in Sector 4, Gangotri Apartments in Sector 12 and Shubham Apartments in Sector 12. 

DCP Dwarka, Anto Alphonse, Additional DCP, RP Meena, ACP, Rajender Singh and the SHO North, Sanjay Kundu were present in these three societies to inaugurate the scheme. 

Under the scheme, the societies made the security arrangements on the suggestions of police by improving their internal security system. 

Societies installed required number of CCTV cameras, boom barriers and made a proper system for entry and exit to the society premises. 

Also, the societies ensured about the police verification of servants and tenants. Apart from that, they started sending their guards for night patrolling in shifts with the local beat officers to keep a sharp vigil in the surrounding areas of the societies.
