Two new power spray tankers were flagged off on Thursday to act against growth of mosquito larvae in Shahadara area. They were flagged off from East Delhi Municipal Corporation's (EDMC) headquarters at Patparganj.
Adressing the event, East Delhi Mayor Anju Kamalakant said that flooding in the Yamuna Khadar region had caused mosquito breeding grounds.
The Mayor said, “It was difficult to spray insecticides at these difficult places. Now, with this power spray tankers, it will be easier to spray insecticides at these places.
Along with the Mayor Anju Kamalakant, Chairman of Standing Committee, Sandeep Kapoor; Leader of the House, Nirmal Jain and Additional Commissioner Alka Sharma were present while flagging off the tankers.
