IGNOU-REWA organises session on eye diseases

The Indira Gandhi National Open University Retired Employees Welfare Association (IGNOU-REWA) in association with "Centre for Sight : Eye Institute" Dwarka, New Delhi organised a health talk session on the subject "Advances in Cataract and Glaucoma : Eye diseases" on Saturday, 12th October, 2019, at the hospital premises.  

Professor Pandav Nayak was Chief Guest. Prof A. S. Narang, Prof B. S. Saraswat and  Prof T. U. Fulzele  were the Guests of Honour.  Dr (Maj Gen) Sagarika Patyal, Senior Consultant, "Center for Sight: Eye Institute", addressed the gathering on Cataract and Glaucoma Eye diseases. 

During the session, more emphasis were given on prevention from Cataract and Glaucoma diseases. Dr. Sagarika Patyal also shared  the best treatment available for these diseases. A lot of attendees raised the queries related to both the topics, which were well answered by the speaker upto their satisfaction.  

Besides the retired employees of the university, good number of in-service employees and local residents also attended the session. The session was followed by lunch. Members appreciated the session and requested IGNOU - REWA to have more such academic sessions on various other diseases. Shri A. S. Chhatwal, President, IGNOU-REWA, assured to organise more such sessions in the near future.
