East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) has started taking action against violators of pollution norms in the area. It has issued 25 challans to violators amounting Rs 2,80,000.
2 challans were issued burning garbage in open, 11 for violations during construction activities and 12 for dumping of construction and demolition waste.
Among the other actions, the EDMC has removed 396.54 metric tonnes of debris from the area.
824 km of mechanical road sweeping has been done. Apart from this, about 289.16 km of roads have also been sprayed with water with the help of water sprinkler machines to settle dust.
Besides this, night patrolling teams are also monitoring enforcement of construction ban in the city.
