Ghaziabad police launched its first hexacopter drone to assist police personnel in the city’s surveillance. Police officials confirmed that the drone, costing Rs 9.5 lakh, has been employed on a trial basis, and, if successful, more would be included in the force.

The drone was launched by Nidhi Kesarwani, district magistrate of Ghaziabad, and KS Emmanuel, SSP, Ghaziabad. For its first assignment, the drone will keep watch on the Kanwariya yatra this year.
