Dwarka: As per my daily routine, I go for my morning workout at DDA Plaza park in Sector 6, Dwarka. While doing so one day, I crossed two mini parks next to Bahawalpur Apartment and spotted three locations which had heaps of religious leftovers.

Flowers, garlands, photo frames, idols and diyas were scattered all over the place. I made complaints to South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and action was taken on the same day. Two locations were cleared on the same day.

But, at the third location, the trash was not cleared. I had tweeted about the trash and many like minded people had also retweeted my post. But still there was no action from the SDMC.

Finally, I decided to clean the spot with the help of Green Circle members. We cleaned the spot in about 30 minutes. It’s unfortunate that civic agencies do not respond to complaints. Being an environment friendly person, I did my duty to keep the surroundings clean, green and plastic free.
